Sensory Hour @ the Museum
Sensory Hour at the Cayman Islands National Museum is a quieter, more relaxed museum experience designed for visitors who may become overwhelmed by bright lights, noise, crowds, or other sensory stimulation. During Sensory Hour, the Museum creates a calmer environment by dimming the lights, reducing sound, and providing visitors with greater flexibility to explore at their own pace.
Once a month, visitors are welcome to participate in activities or simply enjoy the galleries in a more comfortable setting. The programme is available by appointment, allowing individuals and families to plan their visit around their needs.
Sensory Hour is part of the Museum’s commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible space where everyone can enjoy and connect with Cayman’s natural and cultural heritage.
