The Pirate’s Week Superfan
For most people, Pirate’s Week is a celebration that comes around once a year.
For this defendant, however, Pirate’s Week apparently never ends.
The Pirate’s Week Superfan has been brought before the court following years of suspiciously enthusiastic pirate-related behavior. Witnesses have reported questionable greetings, unnecessary accessories, and an alarming inability to distinguish between an ordinary day and a national festival.
The defendant insists there is nothing wrong with embracing the pirate spirit year-round. The Judge disagrees. While the court appreciates enthusiasm, there comes a point when shouting “Ahoy!” in inappropriate situations becomes a public concern.
The accused now faces the possibility of being permanently grounded unless supporters come to their rescue. Is this simply someone with a passion for Cayman’s famous festival, or has their enthusiasm crossed into dangerous territory?
Charges: Excessive piracy and year-round Pirate’s Week behavior.
